When we're not out on the road....
As well as our theatre productions, we also provide a range of other services and support including Sensory Tours, which are interactive and playful experiences around theatres, museums, galleries or other spaces designed to widen access and reduce anxiety for people with complex needs, early years children and beyond; and Hello, Brain?, which is a programme of work for children and young people around understanding and working with the neuroscience of anxiety. For more information about both of these projects click on the links in the top bar, or on the text above.
Julia develops and runs Sensory Story sessions for children and their grown-ups, and has even been known to provide inclusive entertainment at birthday parties for children with autism and/or complex needs; most recently, she collaborated with Thrift Farm just outside Milton Keynes to provide Christmas-themed sensory play sessions for 0-5s with special needs.
Julia also provides training to schools, early years settings, youth services and for parents and carers around aspects of emotional health, wellbeing, sensory approaches to working with mental health, and more.
Julia is a Sensory Ambassador for Circus Starr and an Associate Artist with Milton Keynes Gallery's Arts and Us programme, co-creating inclusive arts experiences for children and young people with special educational needs.
