Introduction
Due to popular demand, we have created our first Christmas sensory musical show!
Responding to the requests of parents/carers, schools and also as a result of our own experiences of supporting a variety of children through the anxious anticipation the long month of December can bring, we have developed something that will not only explore Christmas traditions, but that will offer exploration and positive strategies to cope with waiting and the sensory overwhelm of the season. Unlike our other shows, this one is predominantly designed to be a whole family experience; though, it will remain self-contained with limited technical requirements other than space, which makes it suitable for a wide range of venues. NEWS Due the incredible response to our 2018 version of 'The Christmas Clock', - 9 SOLD OUT shows! - we will be developing a 2019 version that will return to the same venues next December featuring new sensory experiences but presented within the same structure and format. Audiences loved the idea of a clock counting up towards Christmas, and the repetitions of songs and rhymes to mark each hour, so we want to retain that familiarity and embroider on it. The original 2018 version will continue to be available to new venues. |
Synopsis

Reviews from 2018 Performances
"Thank you to Collar and Cuffs Co for providing pupils with an amazing Christmas experience. The production was full of fun, a great message and gave us all an opportunity to truly sense Christmas. Highly recommended."

"We had such a brilliant time at your Christmas story event yesterday. True testament to you both that you managed to entertain and occupy an entire room of babies and big kids for almost an hour with them all transfixed from start to finish. Thank you and well done. Would recommend to all."

"We saw the Christmas Clock this afternoon and I want to thank Julia and Ellie for a really magical and special afternoon. My son has autism and generally does not cope with social situations but he (6yrs) and my daughter (4yrs) both absolutely loved it. It was so different to anything we’ve experienced before. An intimate cosy setting and two warm and funny ladies with beautiful voices unravelling layer after layer of sensory scenes to the delight of all the adults and children. The overall message was on how whilst it can be hard waiting for Christmas, there are many special things we can enjoy while we are waiting. So one stroke of the clock focused on gifts, one on baking, one on snow and so on - with lots of real things for guests to hear, touch, smell, taste all woven in throughout. It was amazing. I so wish there were more things like this available that are so enjoyable, yet inclusive and not overwhelming. Excellent job ladies, please do more of the same nearby soon. Wishing you and yours a wonderful and blessed Christmas. Until next time."
