If your children can find Christmas overwhelming, or the countdown to the 'Big Day' really hard to cope with, then this Sensory Advent Box may help.
Selected by Julia from Collar & Cuffs and Ellie from Early Years SEN, your little box will contain 24 seasonal sensory resources, plus a booklet of ideas as to how you can use each item to help everyone feel calmer, more connected, and to keep the magic of Christmas at a containable and relevant level throughout December. You'll also find a planner you can use to help you design your Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to focus on feeling calm, making great memories, and enjoying this special family time.
Grouped into things to taste, things to feel, things to smell, things to listen to, and things to look at, you'll find treats and treasures hidden in 24 numbered and wrapped parcels; even the box the items are in forms part of the experience!
The contents of the box will be suitable for all ages and abilities, and there should be sufficient contents to use with at least two children; if you are from an early years setting and would like a box to use with a group or room of children then please drop us an email to discuss your needs before booking.
As the box is being assembled by hand, and as this is our first year, we are limiting numbers to just 30 boxes, so do book ASAP to avoid disappointment.
Boxes cost £35 plus £4.99 for postage and packing (Total cost: £39.99) and will be dispatched on the 20th of November 2017 to ensure they arrive in plenty of time for December 1st. This is the equivalent to just £1.66 per day, or less than the price of a coffee!
Payment
To book your box you will need to pay a non-refundable deposit of £10 via Paypal to [email protected]. Please include your address details and age(s) of your child(ren) at the time of booking; we will send you an email confirmation.
You can then pay for your box in instalments as you feel up to the 20th of November; if the balance is not paid off in full by the 20th of November then your box won't be dispatched.
